A special place to stay on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast

Pembrokeshire is a beautiful county with it's coast path being considered one of the best walking routes in the world.
If you are not a walker there are plenty of other attractions besides the wonderful scenery and beaches.

Close to Seaview are Newport and Fishguard. The ancient town of Newport is on the estuary of the river Nevern
and has lovely walks, interesting bird life and a long sandy beach. Go to www.newport-pembs.co.uk for further information. Fishguard has the historic lower town with its pretty harbour. Here is where 'Under Milkwood' was filmed with Richard Burton who visited The Ship Inn a few times! It also has the last invasion tapestry embroidered by local women to commemorate the failed attempt by the French to invade Britain in 1797. Fishguard’s website is www.fishguardonline.com

There are other lovely beaches close too. Aberbach bay is only a 10 minute walk from the side gate. It is a small pebbly cove
which is always quiet as there is no parking. Pwllgwaelod and Cwm- yr Eglwys are the beaches either side of Dinas head. Pwllgwaelod enjoys lovely sunsets and has a bar/restaurant on the beach while Cwm-yr-Eglwys is the site of a ruined chapel
and is very sheltered.

Further afield is St David's, Britain’s smallest city, with its glorious cathedral, interesting shops and galleries.
Beautiful harbours and beaches abound. Little haven and Solva are two harbours that have charming pubs serving good food. Newgale and Whitesands great beaches for surfing and sand castles respectively. There is fascinating industrial archaeology at Porthgain as well as a good pub, fish restaurant and art galleries. The castles of Pembrokeshire are too numerous to list but Pembroke castle itself should not be missed. Neolithic remains abound as testament to the ancient peoples who lived here with probably the best known being Pentre Ifan just outside Newport. There are also wonderful gardens to visit, Bro Meigan and Dyffryn Fernant being just two that are quite close to Seaview.
